Bristol's Cabot Circus becomes newest venue for Oil Check Roadshow

The Thursday of National Oil Check Week featured a visit to the roadshow's newest venue - the Cabot Circus shopping centre in central Bristol.

Although less than a year old, the centre is a popular place to shop, and the team had the now-standard queues of checking oil in the centre's multi-storey car park.

There was a great mix of vehicles, and not only were people getting their oil checked, but were keen to find out how to check for themselves in future - and naturally the oil check team was on hand to help.

As in Manchester and Edinburgh, the checks were just in time for several motorists, who discovered they had been running dangerously low on oil. A quick top-up with Comma's Performance Motor Oil sorted them out and they were on their way again.

Vehicles ranged from an M-reg Land Rover Defender to a beautifully-detailed Audi TT which, despite being seven years old, looked in immaculate condition. Although the cleanest car on the roadshow by far, it did need a top-up, which just goes to show that the attractiveness of a car looks has absolutely no bearing on what's going on under the bonnet.

After educating Bristol's motorists of the need to check their oil more regularly, the roadshow moved East to Bluewater in Kent, but local venues across the South West were still giving free oil checks for the rest of the week.
